From sketch to case: the odyssey of a custom-made jewel at LEGION Paris
Creating a custom piece of jewelry is much more than just a piece of craftsmanship. It's about telling an intimate story, transcribing a fragment of life into precious materials, and creating an object of memory and character. At Légion Paris , each custom order is an adventure, a collaboration between two imaginations: yours and ours.
A meeting, first
It all starts with an idea—sometimes vague, sometimes very specific. An emotion, a memory, a symbol to engrave in metal. We discuss it together: during a workshop appointment, an email exchange, or even remotely. You tell us what you want to see embodied in a piece of jewelry. This is the starting point for creation.
We listen, we ask questions, we look at what you like… and most importantly, we start dreaming with you.
Outline and intention
Next comes the sketching phase. We draw one or more proposals, based on your initial idea. We seek a balance between aesthetics, symbolism, and how the jewelry will feel on your skin. This is a stage where dialogue is crucial: we adjust and refine until you feel that "it's the one."
At this stage, we also choose the materials: silver or gold, precious or raw stones, textures, patinas... everything is thought out to make your piece unique.
Birth between fire and hands
Once the design is approved, manufacturing begins in our Parisian workshop. Each piece of jewelry is entirely handcrafted using traditional jewelry techniques. The metal is melted, forged, sculpted, filed, welded, and polished—every step bears the imprint of expertise and passion.
We love pieces that don't cheat: you'll always see the hand of the craftsman behind the perfection, the small irregularities of the handmade, the beauty of the gesture.
The moment of the meeting
When the piece is finished, it's ready for you. It's delivered to you in its gift box, often with a mixture of excitement and emotion. For us, it's a powerful moment: seeing the creation come to life for the person for whom it was intended.
Some custom-made pieces of jewelry become talismans, others meaningful gifts, and still others celebrations of identity. All, without exception, are made to last and to reflect you.
