Legion Paris Vendôme, the history
On June 4, 2022, we moved to a new boutique located at 5 rue du Marché Saint-Honoré 75001 Paris, 190m from the luxurious Place Vendôme.
After 3 years spent in our small workshop lost in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, at the foot of the Butte Montmartre and two years of pandemic and successive lockdowns, it had become vital for us to breathe new energy into LEGION Paris.
This is why in May 2021 we began prospecting in order to find the rare pearl that would be able to accommodate our workbench and our new vision of LEGION Paris . We were looking for walls that had soul and an exceptional location, close to Place Vendôme and luxury boutiques . But we must also rethink the fact that this challenge is part of a post-Covid context that is not at all simple. Imagine a devastated Paris with hundreds of shops closed, even in the most beautiful neighborhoods! Without knowing if the situation would be favorable to us afterwards, we decided to try the adventure , to invest and believe in our future , to take the risk of radically moving upmarket in terms of location but also of seriously disrupting our economic balance.
At the end of 2021, we finally found the perfect place and, after long negotiations to convince the owner to rent us this place which is usually reserved for large and prestigious brands, we managed to sign an agreement .
In April 2022, we signed the final contract and began work on the same day ! In record time, we were able to transform this formerly soulless vintage luxury clothing store into the perfect environment for Legion, a place that, originally, was nothing short of charming...
With the help of our architect, we made it a place in our image , raw and cinematic. We completely stripped the place , removing all the coverings, veneers and false ceilings. With delight, we were able to observe our future cocoon regain its original colors and reveal its true personality : pillars made of massive blocks of cut stone, a dizzying ceiling height and walls made of natural stone rubble.
We simply added the industrial elements we needed to light the space and work comfortably. Our beloved 19th-century workbench regained its central place in the shop, and our friends at Coalraw custom-made raw steel display trees and a cage for the exterior display case.
On Saturday, June 4, we raised the curtain on this new page in the history of LEGION Paris , after many setbacks and just a few hours after emptying the last boxes.
