Why we don't do Black Friday
This year, we're not having Black Friday . In fact, we never have sales.
The reason is quite simple: we are artisans. We wake up in the morning with a fierce need to be proud of what we do, we go to bed at night with our backs in a mess, and every day we fight to make our trade fair , to find new ways to stand out in a sea of shameless, outsourced brands.
We don't buy from stock. We handcraft a piece of jewelry specifically for you every time. We are not, and never will be, an intermediary between you and a manufacturer. What you pay directly pays the artisans who make your jewelry—us, the creators of Legion, Angela and Lucie, our sole employee, Nina, and our local service providers: founders, stone setters, lapidaries, and more.
Buying a Legion jewel means supporting another economy , it means betting that we can do things differently, that we can act for a fairer, more local economy.
This radical choice comes at a price: it leaves us no margin for sale. To hold occasional sales and marketing campaigns, we would be forced to double our prices year-round. This is not our intention . We prefer to offer you jewelry at the right price all year round, that is to say, the lowest possible price to support all these people here in France .
Having sales or Black Friday would mean operating at a loss.
This would be the death of Legion Paris.
