The term "Black Silver" refers to solid silver with a legal fineness of 925/1000 that has been oxidized to a dark gray color. Black silver will develop a patina, and the treatment will fade in places to reveal the natural shine of untreated silver.

The term "White Gold" refers to 750/1000 white gold, also known as 18 carats, in which there is a proportion of palladium (13%), making it light gray, almost white. No surface treatment such as rhodium plating is used; the gold is white throughout and will remain so.

The term "red gold" refers to 18-carat (750/1000) red gold. An alloy of gold and copper that is slightly redder than rose gold, with red gold having a higher copper content.
