PIROS is a massive signet ring set with a freeform rosecut red garnet. The ring shank of this piece is entirely hand-sculpted in black silver (925/1000), making it a unique piece .

The term "black silver" refers to sterling silver with a legal fineness of 925/1000 that has been oxidized to give it a dark gray color. Black silver will develop a patina; the treatment will wear away in places to reveal the natural shine of the untreated silver.
